Student Success Stories
I realize that Green Bay schools produce many success stories in all walks of life, but I want to share pride in the recent accomplishments of my son, Mark Howe, who is near completion of his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston. The link below was published yesterday in New Scientist, describing a paper that Mark authored last month in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences with his advisor (Dr. Ann Graybiel) and colleagues at MIT. Mark is a 2001 graduate of Preble High School and attended Edison Middle School and Danz Elementary School before high school. He received his Bachelor’s Degree at UW-Madison, so he is 100% a product of public schools in Wisconsin.
Thanks for all you do. As a parent of three boys, one still in the GB public school system, I really appreciate the education that you and your faculty and staff provide for children here.
