After school study hall schedule:
Monday, 5/23 – Thursday, 5/26 – 3:15-4:15 in both LMC and math lab
Friday, 5/27 – 3:15-4:15 in the LMC ONLY

Attention: All track and field athletes
Last Friday was the deadline for the track and field banquet commitment. If you plan on attending the track and field banquet, you must see one of the coaches today. Also, if you are not in the regional line up, please bring your uniform in a bag with your name on it to one of the track coaches.

Today, our men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete in the WIAA Regional at Ashwaubenon. Events begin at 3:30. Thank you for supporting your track team.

Regional track athletes will be released at 1:45 today

Senior Ball
You will still be able to purchase Senior Ball Tickets today and Tuesday during the lunch hours in the Main Office

Graduation
Attention Seniors there was an error in the letter that was handed out to you during the meeting regarding graduation. The doors at the Resch Center will open at 5:45 p.m. the night of graduation.

Attention those interested in joining the 2011 Preble Cross Country Team:
There will be an informational meeting for the boys on Tuesday, May 24th at 3:10 in room 264 (health room). The girls meeting will be Wednesday, May 25th at the same place and time. Whether you are a veteran runner or brand new to the sport of distance running the meeting will help answer any questions about the upcoming season. We need as many individuals out for the team as possible, there are no cuts and everyone participates in every meet. Be a part of a great group of young people and join the ongoing tradition of Preble Cross Country!!!

Do Something
Do something, please bring your t-shirts to school tomorrow for our last project and plan on eating after!

Boys’ Golf
On Friday, the boys’ golf team finished 2nd in the Brown County Meet held at Wander Springs. Tom Boockmeier was meet medalist with an even par 72. Also chipping in for the Hornets were Max Adams 76 and Andy Miske 77.

Girls’ Golf
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday in room 146 after school for any girl interested in joining the Preble girls’ golf team. See Mr. Johnson for more information.

Post Graduation Party
Its time for one last party with your friends. Come join us for the Post-graduation party right here at Preble! Be here by 11:15 pm on June 2. Stay and play laser tag, do the obstacle course, play a little poker, eat a little and maybe show off your dancing and singing skills. How about winning some cool prizes???? Sign up by May 27 in the office. Walk-ins are welcome.

Presidential Service Award Banquet
Students who were unable to attend the Presidential Service Award Banquet at West High School on May 17th may pick up their award in the Career Center.

Service Hours
Seniors who have not met their 24 hour requirement are reminded they are due this Friday, May 27. If you will not have the hours completed and would like to participate in the graduation ceremony, you must pick up a service plan from Mrs. Bossell in the Career Center ASAP! The form requires a parent signature so don’t wait until the last day to pick it up.

A list of senior students who have not met the 24 hour requirement has been posted outside of the Student Service office.

Girls’ Tennis
There will be a sign-up meeting for girls interested in playing on next year’s tennis team, next week Tuesday. The meeting will be brief, but mandatory.

Music Department
The music department would like to thank the “Cookie Crew” led by Pam Noel for donating their time, talent and $300 from their cookie money to the music department’s “Dress the Department Fund,” which is trying to raise money to outfit the entire music department in new uniforms.

Environmental Club
The environmental club will have it’s final meeting on Tuesday May 24 at 3:10 in room 218. We are planning to Sign the Green & Healthy Schools pledge and discuss our plans for next year.

Attention Distance Runners
This year the distance runners from both the Track and Cross Country teams are invited to go on a trip on Wednesday, June 8th to the annual “Wisco Mile” event in Milwaukee. This is a fantastic opportunity to run the mile under the lights while going against some of the best competition from all around the state. The meet will have inspirational music during each mile run, t-shirts, delicious food and a great atmosphere. All information for this event is available from Mr. Loritz around the PE area during or after school.

Preble XL Performance Class
Preble Athletes! Are you looking to become quicker, faster, stronger and better overall athlete? Well, this summer you can work towards becoming the best athlete you can be. Sign up for the Preble XL Performance Class which will be on Monday and Wednesdays starting June 6th here at Preble! We will improve in many different disciplines of performance such as Speed, Quickness, Plyometrics, and Core strengthening to name a few. Pick up your registration form either in the office or the Athletic Training Room after school. If you have any questions on what the XL Performance class is all about stop in the Athletic Training Room and talk with Dave. You don’t want to miss out on this exciting and researched based XL performance class, sign up before it fills up!
