The boy’s volleyball team will be running the brat barn Saturday (June 2th ) at Festival Foods East. Come out and enjoy some great food and support the team.

Attention all girls interested in playing basketball next year. There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow morning in the LMC at 7:15. Preble Pride Work
Today the Preble Pride Award is being given to 2 students for going above and beyond what is expected. These students are:

Baseball
Attention students, your Preble Hornets Baseball Team won their first regional game last night at Joannes Park with a score of 5-2 which means they advance to the next regional game tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Appleton North.

You have the opportunity to support the team by taking a fan bus down to Appleton North. The bus will leave school around 1:45 p.m. and return back to school around 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in riding the fan bus you must pick up a permission slip in the main office today and return it by 10:00 tomorrow morning with payment.

Girls’ Soccer
Preble Hornets Girls JV soccer team beat DePere 1-0 last night in the last game of the season. Scoring for the Hornets was Tayrn Allen.

The girls Varsity soccer team tied De Pere last night 0-0. Lexie Gauger made 21 saves to hold the shout out in tack. The girls next game is on Thursday when they start Regionals. They play Pulaski at 3 pm at West high School.

Physical Science
Mrs. Bornowski’s physical science classes are reminded to bring their textbooks today.

Boys’ Golf
Yesterday, the boys golf team competed in the WIAA Sectional at The Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids. The team finished tied for 7th. Leading the team was Andy Miske 82. Also contributing were Chad Westenberg, Michael Gehm, Trevor Kim and Alex White.

There will be a meeting in room 146 after school on Friday for all members of the boys’ golf team. Bring in all team equipment that needs to be returned.

There will be an open gym tonight for boys interested in playing volleyball from 7:00-8:30 pm.

Cross Country
All summer and fall information is available so please see Coach Loritz around the PE area for the necessary forms and important dates. We would like as many people out for the team as possible, there are no cuts and everyone participates in every meet. Come out for the challenge of a lifetime and join the ongoing tradition of Preble Cross Country.

Congratulations to Charlie Zuege whose artwork entitled “Breakfast Time” was chosen for this year’s permanent art collection purchase award. Charlie’s artwork will be added to Preble’s growing permanent art collection seen in the LMC.

Preble Dance Team

Green Bay United Hockey is holding a meeting for all newly interested and current hockey players. Parents are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held at Southwest High School, Thursday, May 31, from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the LMC. If you have any questions please call Nancy at 465-8928. GO GRYPHONS!

Girls’ Soccer
The Varsity girls soccer team tied Bay Port last night 2-2. Lexie Gauger made 11 saves in goal while Mallory Guerts and Maria Schumacher scored for the lady hornets.

Boys’ Track and Field
Congratulations to the boys track and field team in winning the WIAA sectional title. Event winners include Will Daniels, Zach Jindra, Robert Starnes, Jamel Robertson, Zak Wallenfang, Cory Cegelski, Nick Freitag, Daniel Laluzerne, Jake Wallenfang, Brad Boockmeier, and Sam Schneider. The Hornets will head to LaCrosse next weekend in an attempt to capture a team state title. Good luck Hornets!

Girls’ Track and Field
The girls track team placed second at the sectional meet last night in Ashwaubenon. Girls who moved on and qualified for state were: Jill Englebert, Annie Robertson, Hailey Valentine, Emma Hendricks, Whitney Joseph, Brooke Porath, Sarah Heesacker, Mellisa Bialcik, and Izzy Samuels. Congratulations girls and good luck at state.

Girls’ Tennis
There will be an informational meeting for girls interested in playing on next year’s tennis team, after school next week on Wednesday. The meeting will be from 3:00 – 3:30 in Room 245.

Window Decals

Mr. Preble
Tonight is the night you have been waiting for! Come and see seven Preble guys strut their stuff and wow us with their intellects and talents! The first annual Mr. Preble Competition begins at 7 PM in the auditorium. The entrance cost is $3.00 to be paid at the door.
