Knitting Club
There WILL be a knitting club meeting today after school in Room 205

Yearbook
There will NOT be a yearbook meeting Thursday but we will be working on Friday after school.
Directions for ordering a 2010 yearbook are on the school website on the left side of the page. If you have not received an order form in the mail by now, you should follow the directions on the Preble website. We will continue to accept senior color photos but they may not appear in alphabetical order in the senior section.


Asian Club
A reminder to ALL Asian Club Students who will be attending tomorrow’s MOVIE Night: You must get your Parent Permission slip to Mrs. Thao by the end of today. If you attend, You will be expected to stay the whole time.


Attention all distance runners planning on participating on the 2010 Track and Field team:
There will be an informational meeting for the girls today at 3:15 in room 264. The boys meeting will take place tomorrow at the same place and time. Goal setting, pre-season workouts and 2010 track information will be just a few of the things covered at the meeting. We hope to see you there!

Attention staff and students:
Sting Cancer will be selling special t-shirts during the lunch hours today and tomorrow honoring Brittany Cayemberg, a sophomore here at Preble who is an inspiration to all of us. The shirts are Preble green and gold, which is the national color for childhood cancer. Come support Brittany and her family by purchasing a shirt for only $10. Remember together we can Sting Cancer.

Enivronmental Club
There will be an Environmental Club meeting this Thursday. The bags that were being sold by members of the EC before break are now also located in the school store. They are eco-friendly and an easy way to cut back your carbon footprint. They make great gifts and are available for only $10. It would also be greatly appreciated if all members bring any remaining bags that they have to the Thursday meeting. See you there!

FBLA
There will be a FBLA meeting after school tonight in room 146.

Speech Forensics
There will be a speech forensics meeting Wednesday night, January 20th, after school in room 123. "T" shirt designs and all necessary papers are due that night.

Green Bay United Swim Team
Last night GBU was defeated by a strong Sturgeon Bay Team. Eleven swimmers swam their personal best times. GBU's last home meet will be against Bay Port High School on Thursday. Support GBU by being at Edison at 5:30 Thursday.

GSA
The Preble Gay-Straight Alliance will be meeting after school today in room 107. Everyone is welcome.

Attention Language Arts Academic Team
This is a reminder that we will meet during the lunch hours today to practice our literary trivia.

Latino Club
There will be a Latino Club meeting in room 211 after school on Thursday, January 21st.

PAC (The Political Awareness Club)
We will meet today Wednesday after school in Room 105 do discuss the Senate results in Massachusetts. New members are always welcomed.

Ping Pong Tournament
Get your friends together & plan to play! The 17th Annual Preble Ping Pong Tournament, sponsored by the Preble Parent Network is Saturday, February 13th. Pizza! Prizes! Trophies! Fun!
You will be done in time to get ready for the Snowball dance. It’s free & open to ALL Preble Students (and teachers, too!) Pre-register in the Main Office this month!

Diversity Essay Contest
The Green Bay Press Gazette is sponsoring a Diversity Essay Contest called "Be the Change". The competition is open to all high school students. They are looking for an opinion essay of 200-300 that focuses on two fundamental questions around diversity. Stop in the Career Center for further information.

The National Youth Leadership on Medicine
The National Youth Leadership on Medicine will take place in July, 2010. Students in grades 9-12 who have shown academic excellence and leadership potential at the highest level are eligible to attend. Selected student will have the opportunity to select an intensive 10-day program on medicine at prestige colleges around the states. Registration deadline is January 29th. Interested students may pick up further information in the Career Center.
