Wrestling
Last night the Preble-East Wrestling team blanked Green Bay West/Southwest 71-0. Leading the way with pins were Steven Cygan, Dalton Tielens, Alex Cooney, Aaron Werchek, and Mark VandenAvond. The team improved its record to 3-1 in conference duals.

Winning on JV were Brandon Donart, Jeremy Pigg, David Rentmeester, Tyler Hansen, and Nathan Belongeay, Tyler VanEss, Tyler Exford, Cody Hallam, and Matthew Pratt.

This weekend the team heads to the West Bend Invitational where they are the 4 time defending champions! Wish them luck!

Attention Link Crew Leaders:

Remember that next Tuesday is our next whole group meeting at 7:00 in the Auditorium. Also remember to plan for Cocoa & Cram next Monday and Tuesday after school. If you signed up to work Cocoa & Cram in December, please stop by Room 222 to indicate which day you will work so we can predict how many students will be there. If you did not sign up in December, you still can, go to Room 222 to put your name down. See one of the advisors if you have any questions.

Attention all Freshmen…

If you are looking for a little extra help studying for exams, and want an opportunity to study with your friends plan to attend Link Crew’s “Cocoa and Cram!” Meet your friends in the commons after school on Monday and Tuesday until 4:15 to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa, study, and get help studying from your Link Leaders, and even some of your teachers!

Parking Pass

A limited number of parking passes will be sold for all three exams days starting on Monday during the 3 lunch hours. The cost is $5.00. The passes will be sold at the front security desk.

Green Bay United Men's Swim Team

GBU swam against Ashwaubenon last night. The score was Aswaubenon 116 and GBU 51. Eighteen Green Bay United Swimmers swam their personal best times.

Health Career Days

Students interested in the medical field have the opportunity to attend Health Career Days. These are ½ day sessions, held at local hospitals, where students can “shadow” in two areas. Registration forms can be picked up in the Career Center. It’s a first come first serve basis until capacity has been reached. Deadline for registration is quickly approaching. Don’t delay.

Attention Math Team Students

Our third Math Meet is Monday, Jan. 18th at Notre Dame Academy.

All pink confirmation slips are due today, Friday, Jan. 8th. Please give them to your math teacher or drop them off in room 237

Physical Education Announcement

All semester 1 Physical Education students must have their lockers cleaned out by the end of the day on Tuesday 1/12. This also includes any students who are using the Phy Ed lockers for after school activities.

All remaining items left in lockers will be donated to the less fortunate. Please bring a bag on Tuesday to take your clothing home.

If you also have a second semester Physical Education class as well, please alert your instructor so arrangements can be made.

Preble Ping Pong Tournament
Plan to Play! The 17th annual Preble Ping Pong Tournament, sponsored by the Preble Parent Network, is Saturday, February 13. Prizes! Lunch! Trophies! Fun!

Open to ALL Preble Students. Please pre register in the Main Office starting today and get your “I Plan to Play” paddle, for your to display!

FYI – there will be some Public Service work done along the back fence in the main lot all day on Wed. Jan 13. Cones will be placed so you will know where NOT to park! Please stay away from the area surrounded by cones. Thank you for your cooperation

2010 summer Precollege Program
UW-Oshkosh would like to invite students to participate in the 2010 summer Precollege Program. They will offer courses in the following areas:
-Professional Leadership in Education
-Exploring Science, Technology and Engineering Education Majors
-Making Aspirations Turn to Honors
-PreCollege Enrichment Program
-Youth in Nursing
-Young Entrepreneurial Scholars
Freshmen, sophomore and juniors who qualify for free/reduced lunch are eligible to participate in these programs.


The ESL Institute at St. Norbert College is accepting applications for their 2010 PreCollege Summer Program. This opportunity is a 4-week intensive English language program for minority students. Stop in the Career Center for further information regarding these programs.

Sting Cancer
This Friday Sting Cancer is hosting a Miracle Minute during the boy’s basketball game vs. bay Port. Help support our school’s Sting Cancer Team and the SAS Cervical Cancer Foundation by bringing your loose change to the game and help find a cure during the Miracle Minute.

Also, on Friday awareness tables with special deals on Sting Cancer gear will be in the commons during the lunch hours.

Sting Cancer members please remember we need more volunteers to help out with the miracle Minute at tomorrow’s game. We need people to work the front table and collect money, and remember this counts as an event toward your Sting Cancer membership expectations.
