MAC Scholars
MAC Scholars will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in ROOM 107A

Class Ring

Anyone who ordered a class ring may pick it up during the lunch hours tommorrow in the cafeteria commons. Please remember to bring your balance check with you to school on Wednesday.

Attention Preble Runners:

We’ve had great turnouts for our Preble Winter Running Club. Remember, everyone is welcome to join us every Monday, Wednesday and Friday @ 3:15 outside of the PE locker rooms. This is a great way to stay in shape and meet some of Preble’s finest students.

December Dash 5K Run/Walk

On Saturday, December 19th Red Smith will be holding their annual December Dash 5 Kilometer Run/Walk. This event will begin at 9:00 AM in the Red Smith parking lot. The cost is $5 with all proceeds going to families in need during this holiday season. See Coach Loritz for race information or sign up the morning of the event. Run or walk for a great cause and participate in the Red Smith December Dash!

Attention Sting Cancer team members:

This Thursday will be our last meeting before the holidays begin. Please feel free to bring any treats to the meeting as we will have a casual holiday celebration and reflect on all the great things that our group is doing. If you want to join Sting Cancer and have not yet attended a meeting, feel free to stop by Thursday. Also if anyone wants any cookbooks to sell, they are available in Mr. Nesvacil’s room 141 or you can get them at the meeting on Thursday in the LMC

Spot Light Dance

MAC Scholars and Asian Club are presenting the Spot Light Dance this Friday, December 18th at 8 pm. Be sure to get your tickets during the lunch hours or from any MAC Scholar or Asian Club member so you can get your boogie on!It’s your night to shine – for only $5, you can have a great time!

DECA

There will be a DECA meeting after school in room 136 tonight.

FBLA

There will be an important FBLA meeting this Wednesday after school in room 146.

Cell Phones for Soldiers

“Fox Communities Credit Union is collecting cell phones for soldiers. Each cell phone is good for up to a 75 minutes calling card for a soldier. Please drop off your cell phone at your In-School Credit Union.”

Girls Volleyball

The girls’ varsity volleyball team received some new honors this week. Five players were recognized by the Press-Gazette on its all area volleyball team. Jenna Smits was named player of the year, Rachel Taicher made 1st team and Meg Goerdt, Kendyl Danelski and Annie Goerdt received honorable mention.

The web site prepvolleyball.com also recognized the team, ranking the Hornets #433 in the country on its year-end list. Congratulations again to the girls on a great season.

GSA

The Preble Gay-Straight Alliance will be meeting after school tomorrow in room 107.

The GSA is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all Preble students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Everyone is welcome to attend GSA meetings and to participate in GSA-related activities. The GSA hopes to see you this Wednesday in room 107.

Language Arts Academic Team

This is a reminder to the Language Arts Academic Team that we will meet after school today to watch and discuss MacBeth. Bring along snacks and plan to stay until approximately 6 PM.

Latino Club

There will be a very important Latino Club meeting in room 211 after school on Wednesday, December 16th. All members need to be there.

Seniors!

Make up day to order your cap and gowns is here. Brickhouse School Services will be in the commons on Wednesday, December 16 to take orders for cap and gown. Please be sure to pay for your cap and gown on Wednesday. Please look for informational posters that have been placed in the hallways and common areas.

Forensics

There will be a meeting for speech forensics this Wednesday, December 16th, in room 123, right
after school. There will be an election of officers.

Any past forensic student interested in running for office needs to see Ms. Gruski in Room 123
for intent to run forms
