ACT Prep Workshop
Preble HS will be sponsoring an ACT Prep workshop on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 in our LMC.The cost is $50.00 and the workshop is six hours.
A flier is available in the Student Services office and will be available on our Preble web site. See you counselor if you have questions.
Attention Cross Country runners:
All members going on the trip to the state meet on Friday need to get their parent permission sheets to Coach Loritz by the end of the day.
For those going on the Saturday fan bus, the trip is ON. A chaperone has been found and the necessary numbers of fans have been met. Those that would like to go on Saturday will also need to get their parent permission sheets signed and to Coach Loritz by the end of the day.
Please remember that the fan bus will be leaving on Saturday morning at 7:30 AM sharp!

Remember that your blue co-curricular form is due to one of the advisors or to the basket in the main office by the end of school today. See an advisor if you have any questions.
The Leader Conference at Southwest is next Thursday, Nov. 5th. The bus will leave at 9:30 and return around 2:45. Because this is a WKCE day, you will miss all of your classes if you attend, so please check with your teachers. You will need to pack a lunch to eat while we are at Southwest and you must wear your Link Crew shirt to attend. Permission slips for the Leader Conference are due by the end of the day on Monday. See an advisor if you have any questions or need a new form.

We will meet today at 3:05 in room 221. We will make and decorate sugar skulls for Día de los Muertos.

Your Hansen’s fundraising forms are due to Miss Fisher or Mr. Jennings TODAY. Make sure you have payment for each item ordered!
Shadow A Nurse Day
Bellin college of Nursing will hold their annual “Shadow A Nurse Day” on Monday, November 9 7:50am-12:30pm for interested juniors and seniors. Students will shadow nurses at Aurora hospital in the following areas: medical/surgery, orthopedics, maternity, emergency rehabilitation, cardiac, and oncology. There are only 6 available spots. Stop in the Career Center for further information.
Buzz Staff
Buzz staff, we will be meeting on Monday after school to work on articles. The layout editors should also be there at 3:05 in room 132.
Preble Bowling Team
All students who are interested in joining the Preble Bowling Team should plan on meeting at Riviera Lanes on Nov. 2nd at 3:30. The Bowling Team is a coed intramural program informational sheet s can be picked up in the main office.
FBLA
There will be an FBLA meeting today at 3:05 pm in room 146.

Girls Volleyball
1) Remember that tomorrow night is the huge sectional semifinal volleyball game for your varsity girls’ volleyball team. The match is at De Pere High School at 8pm. We are looking forward to seeing a giant SWARM of fans at the game.
2) Reminder to all girls’ volleyball players (freshmen, JV and varsity) to get your banquet info and money in to Coach Heimerman as soon as possible.
3)Thursdays Volleyball match at DePere will cost them $5.00 to get into the match. The reason is that DePere hosts two matches and they charge one fee to stay for both matches.
GSA
The Gay Straight Alliance meeting is cancelled for today.
NHS
Thirty students picked up over 20 large trash bags of garbage at Baird’s Creek last night after school. Nice job to all and an extra Thanks to Kelsey, Shelby, Amanda and Jenna for picking up all the Mountain Dew cans and garbage.
PFM Test Out
The Personal and Financial Management Test-Out is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17 and Thursday November 19. The test will be given from 3:15pm to approximately 4:45pm. Sign-up for this test is from Monday, November 2 through Monday, November 9 before and after school and during the lunch hours in the Main Office. A $5.00 examination fee is required when you sign up. Students will need receipt to use test out book during their lunch, study hall, before and after school in the LMC.
The test will also be given in Spanish this year. Interested students can pick up Spanish Test-Out letter in Room 149.
Tennis
All tennis players should have already turned in uniforms – they are past due. Any player that has not returned their uniform, please return it to Mrs. Weuve by Monday, Nov. 2.
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers needed this Sunday, Nov. 1 from noon – 3:15 to assist the Green Bay Lions Club with handing out materials prior to the start of the Packer game. Interested students should sign up in the Career Center.
