Attention Preble:
On Sunday, October 11th, there will be a fundraiser for an amazing young man here at Preble named Jonathan Heider. Jonathan has done things with a major disability that many of us couldn’t dream of doing in our lives. He is a true hero and inspiration to everyone he meets. Jonathan is preparing for the Olympic trials and was recently featured on the CBS national news.

There are a number of ways you can contribute to Jonathan Heider’s cause. The first is to bring a baked good to Mr. Nez or Mrs. Pokel either today or tomorrow.

The second would be to make a donation to Jonathan’s wonderful journey. That could also be brought to Mr. Nez or any Sting Cancer advisor.

The third way would be to bring yourself, your family, and friends out to Circle Tap near Denmark on Sunday to taste a multitude of the best booyahs in Northeast WI. The booyah cook-off will be the main event for Jonathan’s fundraiser.

You will be receiving a staff email with times and directions to Circle Tap if you are interested in coming on Sunday for a great cause and great fun.

Thanks for all you do Preble‼

Shoes for the Shoeless
Do you have your shoes on the right feet this morning? Are your shoes untied? Millions of people in second and third world countries don’t have to worry about those questions. The “Shoes for the Shoeless” program was started last year as a way for shoe repair shops to do something productive with shoes that had been dropped off for repair but never picked up. The repair shops collected thousands of shoes that helped disaster victims, the homeless, and others in need. If you have wearable shoes that are collecting dust, please bring them to rooms 185 or 187. The shoes will be put back into service and someone will benefit from your generosity. Thank you, Preble FFA.

Latino Club
There will be a Latino Club meeting in room 211 after school today.

Attention college bound sophomores and juniors… Today is the last day to register to take the PSAT test, being given on October 14th periods 1-3 in the LMC. This optional test is a great way to practice for ACT and SAT college admission tests. Juniors can also potentially qualify for scholarships by taking the PSAT. Please see Mrs. Bossell in the Career Center to sign up before the end of the day today. The cost is $13.00 and payable by cash or check made out to Preble High School.

Attention all Student Council members!
We will be having a meeting TOMORROW during Period 5 in Room 200. Please plan to attend.
