H1N1 Immunization
A mailing from the Brown County Health Department was sent regarding a free H1N1 immunization clinic for students. The Health department will be holding one of their clinics at Preble in November for Preble students only. If you choose to get this shot, that form needs to be filled out, signed by a parent/guardian, and brought back to the main office. For further information, you can call the Brown County Health Department at 448-6421

Senior Color Photos
This is a reminder to all seniors that senior color photos are due by December 1. Directions for submitting photos are on the Preble web site in the dropdown under STUDENTS.

Yearbook
There will be a yearbook meeting today after school in Room 205. The purpose of the meeting is to train students in how to prepare photos for placement in page designs. The training should take only about a half hour and those who would like to stay and help prepare photos may stay as long as they wish up to 5 p.m.

Vox Box
There will be a meeting of the student writing group Vox Box in room 205 after school on Wednesday. There will also be a meeting of the Knitting Club after school on Wednesday in Room 205. Both meetings will end at 4:15. All are welcome to join either group.

Remember that your blue co-curricular form is due back tomorrow. Give it to one of the advisors or turn it in to the basket in the main office. Please see Mrs. Rowe, Mrs. Geyman, Mrs. Muzatko, or Mr. Yonts if you need another form.

COOL FOR SCHOOL JEANS DRIVE
Fox Communities Credit Union is sponsoring “COOL FOR SCHOOL JEANS DRIVE.” Your jeans will be donated to Preble’s very own clothes closet, “The Hive.” For each pair of jeans you donate from Oct.12th-16th you will receive 5 raffle tickets towards our Fall Promotion Gift Baskets!”

Do Something
Come be a part of the “Do Something” Club. Some of the projects we did last year was raising money for the African relief and helping out families in need. Come and make a difference for the community. Due to Parent teacher conferences, elections will be held Wednesday followed by our Kick off meeting November 3rd in room 210 at 3:10. See you then! Watch the hallways for clues of ways you can DO SOMETHING!

Girls Volleyball
Congratulations to the girls’ varsity volleyball team for finishing off a perfect season in conference by defeating Sheboygan North last Thursday. Varsity begins their playoff run Thursday night at home against Green Bay West.

The JV girls’ volleyball team finishes their season tonight at the City Meet at Green Bay West. The first match begins at 4:30pm.

Halloween Dance
It is that time again of the Dance Team’s annual Halloween Dance. It is Friday, October 23 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. If you plan on bringing a friend from another school you need to have a non-student form filled out and returned to the office by Thursday, October 22. Tickets sales will begin Monday, October 19 until Friday, October 19 during the lunch hours. Tickets will be $7.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.

Hall Pass
All students must have a pass to be in the halls during class time. It is students’ responsibility to ask for a pass to go to a locker, bathroom, water fountain, etc. When at lunch, one student may use the commons hall pass at a time. Please ask a lunch monitor if you need a pass during lunch.

Pit Rehearsal
Mr. Marlowe is out ill today so there will not be pit rehearsal tonight.

Boys Volleyball
Tonight is the final home boy’s volleyball match of the season. It is also senior night for Logan Englebert, Travis Puyleart, Alex Falish, and Devon Lenz. Come out and support the team as they take on cross-town rival West/Southwest.

Looking for something fun to do on Halloween?
Spend the evening of Oct. 31 with Preble’s very own rock band, Sliding on Pavement. They will be performing from 8:00 to 11:00 at the Eagles Nest, playing some of your favorites, such as Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones and Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. The door charge is $5.00, but you can get a $1.00 discount if you come in costume. See you there!

Girls Basketball
There will be a meeting for any girls intersted in participating in basketball this season on Oct 21 at 3:15 in Room 265. All grades welcome.
