So Preble, where is your Preble Pride?
Homecoming is next week and we need to start getting fired up for the best homecoming ever here at Preble. The kickoff event for this years homecoming week is this Saturday morning. The Jack Drankoff Preble Community 5k is in its 6th year and it is a great way to get the excitement going for the week. This year we are raising money for Freedom House from this event. So if you come out and participate you will not only be guaranteed a great time, get a great t-shirt, have a chance to win one of the 6 trophies for high school students, but you will also know that you are helping people who are having a tough time right now. So sign up today. Forms can be found in the main office or you can download it off of the Preble website. See you on Saturday morning for this great event.

MAC Scholars
MAC Scholars will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the back of the LMC by The Career Center

Sting Cancer
Sting Cancer appreciates all your support. Right now we could still use any and all donations for our Family Fun Day Silent Auction on Saturday. If you have anything to contribute we would definitely appreciate it. Any items for Family Fun Day donations can be given to Mrs. Smith or Mr. Nez.

Bible Study
Anyone who is interested in being part of a fun student lead Bible Study here at Preble should meet in Mr. Greenawald’s room (242) this Thursday morning at 7:00. See you there.


Attention Sophmores and any one interested in ordering a class ring. Representatives from Brickhouse School Services will be in the Preble ticket booth during the lunch hours on Wednesday, September 16 for a ring shopping day. Class ring samples will be on display and order packets will be available for anyone that is interested. Please be sure to stop by and check it out!

FCCLA
Just a reminder that there will be an FCCLA meeting today, after school, in room 137. This is an informational meeting about STAR events. You only need to attend this meeting if you are thinking about participating in a STAR event. This meeting will last approximately 30 minutes. The next full group FCCLA meeting will be next Tuesday, September 22nd. Hope to see you today!


Attention Freshmen:
Looking for a fun, affordable way to spend this Friday night? Looking for something to do after the football game ends? Link Crew would like to invite you to the annual Freshman Dance this Friday from 8:00 – 11:00 in the small gym. Admission is $5.00 at the door with your student ID. Come at 8:00 or whenever the football game ends. Refreshments and prizes will be given out. See a Link Crew Leader if you have any questions.

Girls Golf
Yesterday the girl’s golf team traveled to Sheboygan to compete in the 16 team Sheboygan Invite. The girls finished in 6th place and were led by Olivia Lindsley with an 89 which was tied for tenth place.

Tonight the Hornets host East and Southwest in a conference match at Royal Scot.

PAC
The Political Awareness Club will meet on Wednesday after school in Room 105 to discuss political issues of the day. New members are always welcomed.


SMART
The Science, Math, And Rational Thinking discussion group will be holding its first meeting after school on Friday, September 18. This is a group for everyone who is curious about the leading edge of science and enjoys the mysteries of the natural world. Deep philosophical discussions, challenging problems, and surprising puzzles are all part of this groups’ activities. Everyone is welcome. Expand your horizons and join the Science, Math And Rational Thinking group this Friday at 3:10 in Mr. Sindberg’s room, Room 229.

Environmental Club
Hey, Preble! Are you interested in going green or finding new ways to go green? Here are a few ideas. 1. Carpool to school to reduce emissions. 2. Turn off all electronics and appliances when not in use. And 3. Recycle, recycle, recycle! The Environmental Club will be meeting tomorrow at 3:10 in room 216 and we are welcoming anybody with a passion for going green.

Day for Kids Open House Celebrations
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Green Bay would like to invite all students ages 7-18 and their families to attend the Day for Kids Open House Celebrations taking place Friday, September 18th from 5pm-7pm. Current members are invited to attend as well as those just wishing to learn more about the Clubs and what they have to offer. New members are asked to bring a parent or guardian to share in the evening enjoyment! Students and families that participate in all activities will be eligible to win prizes! Free dinner served to all in attendance at 6pm. The Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay's mission is "to enable all youth, especially those that need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens." Center Stage
There is a change in rehearsal for Center Stage tonight. Center Stage will rehearse from 5:00-6:00.

There is a parent/student meeting for everyone involved in the musical tonight at 6:00 in the auditorium. There must be at least one member of your family at this meeting to get your information.
