Asian Club:
Remember there is only 2 more meetings this school year for those who are interested in Asian Club. Come to the meeting this Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00pm in room 149.

Your great ideas are needed at our final 2 sessions. This is a great opportunity for you to engage in and support Asian cultural awareness at Preble. Come take leadership roles to organize, plan, and provide ample activities to promote respect for cultural diversity at Preble.

See Mrs. Thao in Student Services if interested in joining or show up at the meeting THURSDAY after school in room 149 from 3:00 to 4:00pm.

SWARM
Have you ever been hurt by someone else’s words? Have you ever thought that some words were offensive? There are three main words that Mrs. Nusbaum’s and Mr. Nez’s classes are trying to stop here at Preble. These three words discriminate against people’s ability to learn, their sexual orientation, and their skin color. Whether these words are spoken to be hurtful or not, they can and do kill people’s spirits.

Tomorrow and Friday you will have the opportunity to buy a SWARM t-shirt. The letters of SWARM stand for “some words are really mean”. Shirts will be available in the commons Thursday and Friday for $6.00. With each purchase of a shirt you will also get a coupon for a free chocolate chip cookie between your morning classes.

A very cool shirt with a powerful message about Project Respect and a warm chocolate chip cookie, all for only $6.00.
