Attention all students!

Sting Caner Wear Yellow Day

Next Wednesday, May 13^th will be our second annual Sting Cancer Wear yellow day throughout Green Bay and Brown County.  There are already 4 billboards up in Green Bay and Mayor Scmitt will proclaim all of Green Bay wear yellow and Brown County Supervisor Tom Hinz will proclaim all of Brown County wear yellow on May 13^th in honor of the Sting Cancer initiative.

It will be a very special day in which we will be able to remember and honor all of our friends who have been touched by cancer. 

Without any real advertising, we have had orders for over 3,00 t-shirts and the community outpouring has been amazing.

We want staff and students to have the first chance at the awesome shirts designed by senior Sammi Van Ess and we want to let you know that the yellow shirts will be made available to you on Tuesday May 12^th during the lunch hours. 

Please support Preble Sting Cancer and all of those that have battled cancer by picking up a shirt for $5 on Tuesday May 12^th and be sure to wear your shirt on Wednesday May 13^th.

Attention Soccer fans.  

Tonight the Preble Lady Hornets host a home game against De Pere High School.  The JV game begins at 4:30 p.m. followed by Varsity at 6:30.    See you there.

Link Crew

Students who have applied for Link Crew will be receiving a letter on Friday informing them whether or not they have been accepted as a 2009-2010 Link Crew leader.                                                       

Sting Cancer Sting Stronger Hair Donation 

Would you like to make a difference in a child's life?  Here is your chance!  On May 13th (next Wed.), Sting Cancer is hosting a hair cutting donation for the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.  All hair that is cut will go to make wigs for children under 21 who are suffering from any type of hair loss.  The hair cutting will take place in the LMC during 4th, 5th, and 6th hours.  If you are interested or would like more information, please pick up a sign-up sheet in the main office.

Teen Connection

Teen Connection will air on WI Public Television next Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m.  The topic for this session is “Military Kids”.  In the past few years, WI has seen some of the largest military troop deployments in the state’s history.  A panel of young people and adult experts will discuss how these deployments affect the lives of family members – especially children  - back at home.  This is a live presentation where students are able to call in with questions and/or comments       

LMC

Thursday the LMC is limited hours 3, 4 and 5 and closed hours 7 and 8.

Asian Club

An Asian Club will be starting at Preble.   All students who are interested are invited to attend the meetings this month from 3:00 to 4:00pm. The meetings will be held on Thursdays  this month, starting today right after school in room 149.  

This is a  great opportunity for you to engage in and support Asian cultural awareness at Preble.  Students will take leadership roles to organize, plan, and provide ample activities to promote respect for cultural diversity at Preble.
