Art Auction Announcement

The Silent Art Auction opens today! For 1 week only, all students, faculty, and staff are invited to bid on the Art Department’s Silent Auction. Here’s how it works. Stop by the display case by the art rooms and bid in the binder in room 183. Bids start as low as only 25 cents! Items in the auction include: a Vincent van Gogh inspired chair, wheel thrown and slab made pottery, a mosaic shelf, and lace bowls specially made by Mrs. Hohnman’s adaptive art class. Stop by after school Friday, May 15th to see if you are the highest bid. The highest bid pays for the artwork on Friday and takes home a one-of-a-kind art piece!

Parking Lot
Students are reminded that there is no loitering in the student parking lots after school. We have had some reports of this and ask students to please not hang out in the parking lots if you have no business being there.

Asian Club

The Asian Club is a great opportunity for you to engage in and support Asian cultural awareness at Preble. Be empower to take leadership roles to organize, plan, and provide ample activities to promote respect for cultural diversity at Preble.

All students who are interested are invited to attend the meetings this month from 3:00 to 4:00pm. The meetings will be on Thursdays right after school in room 149.

See Mrs. Thao in Student Services if interested in joining or show up at the meeting THURSDAY after school in room 149 from 3:00 to 4:00pm.

Show Choir

There is an audition workshop Wednesday after school for any students wishing to audition for the Preble Show Choirs for next year. You need to attend the workshop to learn the audition dance and sign up for an audition time. IF you have any questions or conflicts please see Mr. Flogel in the choir room.

Buzz Staff:

articles are due Monday May 11th . We will be working in room 132 after school on Monday.

Senior Detentions

Could you make an announcement on Monday that an updated Senior Detention list is posted on the LMC window.

Attention Fishing Club.
We will meet on Wednesday morning to plan our next outing as well as a fish fry. We will meet in Mr. Valley’s room at 7am Wednesday. We will also try to coordinate some summer events since there is nothing better to do in June, July and August.

Girls Volleyball

Reminder to all girls interested in volleyball that we have open gym tonight at 7pm.

Boys Golf

Tom Boockmeier and Brian Chaloupka each fired a 38 to lead the Hornet golfers over Sheboygan North and Pulaski in a FRCC meet held Friday at Royal Scot Country Club. Trevor Quass chipped in with a 39.

The JV golfers also took first and were led in scoring by Trevor Kim who shot a 40 and Payne Quass with a 41.

On Saturday, the Hornet varsity team placed 2nd in the Jay B. Hill Invitational. Tom Boockmeier placed 2nd with a 74 and Trevor Quass 5th with a 76. Tom Boockmeier and Kyle Hafemen placed 4th in the bestball portion of the meet with a 71.

Preble Players Theatre

There will be an informational meeting for any student interested in being a cast, crew, or pit member of the Preble Players Theatre production that will travel to London and Scotland next summer on Thursday May 14th at 5:30pm in the choir room. Please make plans to attend this meeting with your parents if you have any interest in going on this once in a lifetime trip! If you have any questions or conflicts please see Mr. Flogel or Mrs. Miller.

Blood Drive

The last Blood Drive of the year will be held this FRIDAY, May 15, for all eligible students 16 and older. We will have appointment sign-ups TOMORROW during these Period 3 announcements for any student who wishes to make an appointment. Please consider giving blood on Friday

Senior Ball

Senior Ball tickets will go on sale TOMORROW in Room 200 and Wednesday during the lunch hours in the Commons. ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE THIS FRIDAY, so be sure to purchase your tickets by the end of lunch hours on May 15th.

Softball
Varsity & JV softball will not have games tonight. Practice only at normal times. Rescheduled games will be discussed at practice tonight.
