2009 TREES for Tomorrow scholarship applications ARE DUE TODAY!
Submit your application to your science teacher by 3:15 today. You will be notified by Friday April 17th if you have been accepted.
Knitting Club
This announcement is for anyone who attended at least three meetings of the Knitting Club this school year. There is a sign up list for the yearbook group photo on the door of Room 205. Please sign up if you attended Knitting Club this past year at least three times, especially if you donated knitted items for the homeless or for students at Danz Elementary. We need your names if you are to appear in the yearbook photo. Only two people have signed up so far. You will NOT be allowed to appear in the photo unless you have signed up in advance. This is true of all clubs which will be photographed next Wednesday during group photo day.
Yearbook
This is also a reminder that the 2009 yearbook payments must be RECEIVED by the yearbook company by April 24. There is no guarantee that payments received after that date will ensure that you will receive a yearbook. Information on how to contact the yearbook company is on the counter in the main office. See Mrs. Sutton in Room 205 if you have questions about your order.
AP Government
There will be an AP government review in Room 105 right after school on Thursday.
Athletic Training
Bellinhealth is offering an athletic training student workshop on Saturday, May 30. This workshop is open to students in grades 9-12 interested in becoming a high school student athletic trainer or interestd in athletic training as a profession. There is a $15 fee. Registration due date is April 30th. Stop in Career Center for further details.
Link Crew
Reminder to students who have been nominated to Link Crew for next year: If you are interested in being a leader please remember to attend one of these informational meetings. You MUST attend one of these meetings if you want to be a leader next year.
Today during the lunch hours in the LMC. Please note, this location has been changed, and the meeting will now be in the LMC instead of the auditorium. These meetings will start two minutes after the period begins and will only last about 10 minutes so you will have plenty of time left to get to lunch.
These meetings will start promptly at the listed starting time, so do not be late or you will not be allowed to attend that particular meeting.
See Ms. Rowe, Ms. Nelson, or Mr. Yonts with questions or concerns.
Girls Soccer
Last night the Preble Soccer Hornets battled to a 1-1 tie against Bay Port. The lone goal was scored by Kacey VanderWegen. Taylor Weuve had 10 saves in the goal, including a spectacular game saver in the 2nd overtime on a Bay Port Break away. The Hornet JV team won their game against Bay Port.
The next game is at Notre Dame on Thursday evening.

Jazz Ensemble will have practice tonight from 3:15 until 3:45. Our guest artist will be here, so please be early and ready for a downbeat at 3:15!
Multicultural Campus Career Day
NWTC is sponsoring their annual “Multicultural Campus Career Day” on Thursday, April 23 from 7:30 – noon. All junior and seniors of color with a 2.0/better GPA are welcomed to attend. You will have the opportunity to learn about admissions, financial aid, and tour the campus. Transportation and breakfast will be provided. Registration and permission slips are due tomorrow. Stop in Career Center for further information.

There will be an open gym on Thursday April 16th at Preble from 6:30-8:30pm.
PAC
Pac will meet after school today in Room 105 to discuss the current tax codes, North Korea, and member requests. New members are always welcomed.
Summer School Offerings
The Summer School applications are available in the Student Services office. Please stop in during your study hall, lunch period or before or after school to pick up an application and packet if needed. We will be collecting applications daily. Make sure you fill out the form completely, including parent signature and course number. Some courses need a teacher signature. The cost is $13.00 for each class. Waivers are available, see your counselor if you have any questions. Sign up early- some classes such as Physical Education fill up immediately. See your counselor if you have questions.
EC
The EC will be meeting on Thursday in room 216 to finalize plans for Earth week. If you cannot be there see Mrs. Kispert or Mr. Hendrickson.
Attention: All male track and field athletes
Our track and field meet starting time was moved ahead to a 3:30 start time. Because of this, all men track and field athletes who will be competing in the field events, and the first running events, will be excused at 2:45 today. If you do not compete until later in the meet, or if you are not eligible for this meet, please remain in class until school is finished. The meet lineup will be posted by noon today down in the locker room area.
Today, our men’s and women’s track and field teams will host Green Bay East. Events begin at 3:30. Come on down and support our teams in their quest to defeat East.
