The Spring Play this year is a comedy murder mystery called Disco Fever.
It is filled with laughs galore, unexpected twists and turns, eccentric characters, suspicious and strange events, wild disco dancing, and those favorite disco hits of the 70’s.
There are speaking roles for 16 women, 14 men, and extras needed to complete the cast. For all who wish to audition for a role in the play, there will be an important drama meeting on Monday, Feb. 16th at 3:15 in the choir room.
Auditions will be on Wed. Feb.18th and Thur. the 19th beginning at 3:15 in the choir room with callbacks on Friday the 20th.
The CREWS MEETING will be on Monday the 23rd at 3:15 in the auditorium followed by a CAST READ-THROUGH at 4:00 in the choir room.
Additional Scholarships available in the Career Center
-Kiwanis Club of Green Bay Downtown Scholarship – Scholarships available for students pursuing math/science careers (including engineering, math & science education) and the Fine Arts (limited to music, drama, and art or art /music education)
-The Brian LaViolette Scholarship - $10,000 scholarship based on academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. Transcript required.

Attention Sting Cancer:
Attention to all girls attending Snowball-come to the “Day of Glamour Event” from 12-3 to get made up by a Mary Kay consultant for only $10 to benefit Stephanie Kabacinski, a former student here at Preble who is fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a very serious form of cancer.
Also students get ready for Cancer Prevention Awareness day here at Preble next Friday, February 20th. Sting Cancer will have awareness activities running through the lunch hours next Friday to hopefully educate students and staff on ways they can hopefully prevent a cancer diagnosis in their life or the life of someone they may be close to.
Also to recognize National Cancer Awareness Month we will be having a school wide sale on all Sting Cancer Apparel. Long sleeve shirts will cost only $10 and short sleeve shirts will only be $5 for this day only.
SC members do not forget tonight’s meeting as we need to sign up for the many upcoming activities we have planned.

Girls Softball Open Gym Thursday 7:30 PM. Only 3 remain before practices start.

Are you looking for something exciting and different to do on a Friday night? Are you interested in some hard-hitting action and free food? Join Preble Link Crew on Friday February 13th for the 2nd annual “HOCKEY NIGHT!” Come watch the Green Bay United Hockey Team demolish the Waukesha Wings. Link Crew will be sponsoring a fan bus, leaving from Preble at 6:15pm and returning to Preble after the game. There will be a free tailgate party before the game. Fan bus tickets will be on sale during the lunch hours on February 9th through the 13th for $2.00. Remember that there is a unique chance to skate with the players after the game. Bring your own skates or rent them at the Cornerstone.
Today’s Hockey Trivia question is “How many players should be on the ice during a game if there are no players in the penalty box?” Turn your answer in at the ticket booth during the lunch hours for a chance to win a Green Bay United t-shirt!

NWTC is having a College Preview Open House on this evening, Feb. 12 from
5:30-7:30pm. This is an opportunity for juniors and seniors meet with instructors and current students to learn more about specific programs. Walk-in’s welcomed. Stop in the Career Center for further information.
