Sting Cancer would like to thank everyone in this building for your support to our group over the last five years. Growing from myself and 14 students five years ago to now having 12 faculty advisors and over 200 students active in Sting Cancer, has been amazing and overwhelming. It is really our extended family-that is you the people of Pueble- that have gone above and beyond in helping us grow. All of the little things that the people that make up Pueble have done to make SC as special as it is is truly appreciated by those in our group.

So come celebrate all your efforts to make SC into the amazing group it has become at the fifth annual SC FFD on Saturday following the Run/Walk.

Come and celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer and have a great time with plenty of exciting activities for young kids, old kids and adults.

We hope to see everyone Saturday after the Run/Walk.

Jack Drankoff Preble Community 5k
Good morning. Today I would like to answer some serious questions that have been asked about the Jack Drankoff Preble Community 5k.
1) Can we still sign up? Yes you can still sign up for this event. Entry forms are in the main office or download off of the Preble Website. The cost is $12 if you sign up today but starting tomorrow it goes up to $15 .
2) Can fall athletes sign up? Cross country runners can’t run because of WIAA rules. The WIAA does not have any rules against any other athlete running in an event like this. You may want to check with your coach but I guarantee you will not be violating WIAA rules.
3) What awards are there at this event? Well everyone gets a t-shirt and the top 3 male and top 3 female high school runners get trophies. Since the cross country can’t compete you might be asking yourself how fast do the rest of the high school runners complete this event. Well if you want to get an idea of times from last year the 3rd place female in high school last year was 26:25 and male was 22:53. These times would have won a trophy.
4) When is the run? It is on Saturday September 20th and it starts at 9AM. That is just 1 week from Saturday. You will want to arrive by at least 8:30 that morning so you can pick up your race number in the small gym.
5) How can I be part of this event if I don’t want to walk or run? If you would like to volunteer to work for the event please see MR. Greenawald in room 242. We need responsible students to help on the race day.

Yearbook
There will be a meeting of students interested in joining the yearbook staff next Monday after school in Room 205. The 2008 yearbooks have been mailed to the homes of those who ordered and paid for a book. If you ordered the book and do not receive one by this Saturday, please see Mrs. Sutton in Room 205 beginning Monday.

Also, we have a limited number of extra books available on a first-come, first-served basis for $60 for those who did not order a book but would now like one.
