MAC Scholars
MAC Scholars will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the back of the LMC by The Career Center
ASVAB
An officer from the Military Entrance Processing Station will be at Preble Thursday, November 6th, to administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB. The ASVAB helps you to identify your different abilities and allows you to compare your test performance to that of other students at your grade level. Your scores on this assessment can qualify you for certain jobs and training in the Armed Forces. The length of this exam is approximately 3 hours.
If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, please sign up in the Career Center today and pick up an information booklet. The ASVAB will be administered in room 208 to Juniors and Seniors at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Please bring two No. 2 pencils with you. The location and time is posted outside the Student Services Office. Space is limited.
DECA
It is important that we meet in room 136 After School on Tuesday for a 25 minute meeting. The final DECA roster needs to be turned in by the end of this week.
All DECA members need to attend the meeting to get their picture taken for our new T-shirts.
See Mr. Bonetti if you are interested in joining DECA but cannot attend the meeting.
Mock Election
Today, P.A.C. will be holding the school-wide mock election in the LMC. The election will take place during periods 4 – 7. Remember, you must have your student I.D. present to vote. We’ll see you in the LMC!
Environmental
There will be an environmental club meeting thurs, nov 6 in room 216 after school.
We will have a brief meeting Wednesday at 3pm to discuss our first excursion of the year. Meet in room 228 at 3pm.
Girls Volleyball
Congratulations to varsity volleyball players Jenna Smits and Rachel Taicher. Jenna was selected 1st team all-conference and Rachel received honorable mention. Congratulations on a great season, ladies.
Attention all girls volleyball players: please give your money for the awards banquet to Coach Heimerman by Wednesday.
GSA
The GSA will be meeting in room 107 after school on Wednesday, November 5th.
Bowling Team
Interested in being a member of the bowling team. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 10th at 3:30 at Riviera Lanes. Information sheets are available in the main office on the student counter.
Attention Link Crew Leaders!
Due to the WKCE exam we will be meeting on Thursday morning instead of Wednesday morning this month. Please plan to attend the whole group Link Crew meeting on Thursday, November 6th at 7:00 am in the auditorium. We will be talking about the Younkers fundraiser and Preble Night at the Movies! Please plan to attend and wear your Link Crew t-shirts! If you cannot make the meeting please see Mrs. Rowe, Mr. Yonts, or Ms. Nelson.
The Personal and Financial Management Test-Out
The Personal and Financial Management Test-Out is scheduled for Tuesday November 18 and Thursday November 20. The test will be given from 3:15pm to approximately 4:45pm. Sign-up for this test is from Tuesday, November 4 through Monday, November 10 before and after school and during the lunch hours in the Main Office. A $5.00 examination fee is required when you sign up. Students will need receipt of sign-up to check out the course text from the LMC.
The test will also be given in Spanish this year. Interested students can pick up Spanish Test-Out letter in Room 149.
PAC
Today is election day and the members of PAC encourage everyone to vote in the LMC during the lunch hours. Also, don’t forget to join us on Wednesday right after school to discuss all the results of this year’s general election in Room 105.
Soccer Fan Bus
Permission slip for the Soccer fan bus is in the main office for pick-up. Bus trip and ticket will cost $15.00 and bus will leave Preble at 4pm on Thursday, November 6 and return approximately 11pm. All permission slips must be turned in by Noon November 5th.
Tuesday the LMC is closed hours 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
