Preble Running Club
Is the YMCA too busy? Are you tired of battling people for running space to stay in shape over the winter months? Then joining the 2008 Preble Running Club is a great idea. The Running Club participants share common goals such as staying in shape for a spring sport or raising their overall fitness level. The Preble Running Club starts Monday, December 3rd at 3:15 PM and will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday immediately after school around the PE locker room area. Runners will always have the option of running inside the school or outside in the Preble neighborhood. Bring a friend and lace up your shoes on your way to looking and feeling better. Hope to see you there!
Book Club
What? I can eat lunch in the library? Pick up a copy of Whale Talk by Chris Crutcher from the LMC to read over your break…then join your friends for great conversation and special treats on Thursday, Dec. 4th during all three lunches. See Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. Barber or Mrs. Suda if you have any questions.

Penny War
With the hard economic times, there is one group affected we often do not think about.
They are there to support us during our hard times, but they are one of the first things given up when a family is struggling. The Do Something Club is focusing our winter project on help our little furry friends at the Humane Society. Donations are down and the numbers of pets people are giving up are on the rise.
For that reason we are asking first hours to take part in a penny war. Every penny counts and any silver count against your classes total. The class with the most pennies will win mouth-watering doughnuts! So go nuts for doughnuts and donate those pennies. Our furry friends thank you!
Attention Language Arts Academic Team:
This is a reminder that we will meet after school today in Room 127 to watch Othello. Bring along some snacks and plan to stay until approximately 5:30.
