They have demonstrated academic excellence or have gone above and beyond what is expected. We would like to congratulate these students and ask that they come to room 153, if they are not already there, for a special presentation at this time, while announcements continue.

MAC Scholars
MAC Scholars will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the back of the LMC by The Career Center
Vox Box
Vox Box, a student writing group, will meet this week on Wednesday after school in room 205. All student writers are welcome to join us.
Yearbook
The yearbook training scheduled for after school on Thursday this week has been cancelled. There will be another updated schedule posted on the door of Room 205 for those who missed training this week.
Also, there will be an important yearbook meeting after school in Room 205 on Tuesday, October 13 to discuss the theme for the 2009 yearbook and to view cover design possibilities with the yearbook representative. Please put this important date on your calendar. It is not too late to join yearbook staff. All are welcome.
See You at the Pole
We had a great turnout for See You at the Pole, but we can’t stop there. Come join Bible study every Thursday morning, starting this Thursday, at 7 AM in Mr Greenawald’s room ( rm 242). Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Boys Soccer
The Boys Soccer teams play tonight at home against Sheboygan South. The JV game begins at 4:30 followed by Varsity at 6:30. Come out and support the Hornets as we go for our 10th win of the season.
Attention anyone interested in ordering a class ring!
Thursday, October 2 in class ring order day.
A representative from Brickhouse School Services will be in the ticket booth taking orders for class rings.
If you are interested in order information, please pick up a catalog in the main office.

Come and help to Do Something better! Begin the process of Doing Something this Thursday, Room 210 @ 3:10!
Environmental Club
There will be an Environmental Club meeting Thursday Oct 2 after school in 216. We will be working on recycling signs and ideas for up coming events.
Girls Volleyball
Girls volleyball goes for its fourth straight conference win at home tonight against Sheboygan North. Freshmen and JV begin at 5:30pm; varsity starts around 7pm. Come join the SWARM.
Attention Link Crew Leaders!
We will be having a whole group meeting Wednesday, October 1st, at 7:00 am in the auditorium. This is a very important meeting because we will be planning for the leader conference at West on October 16th. If you cannot attend the meeting it is extremely important that you touch base with Mrs. Rowe, Mr. Yonts, or Ms. Nelson before the end of this week!

Are you interested in politics and the issues facing the nation this campaign season? Then join The Political Awareness Club on Wednesday October 1st for lively discussion and debate in Room 105. See you there right after school.
Girls Tennis
The varsity tennis team finished it’s conference season with a 5-2 win over BayPort yesterday. The win earned the Lady Hornets a 5th place finish in the conference, with a record of 5-2. Finishing the conference season with only one loss were:
#1 Singles: Molly Hemes
#1 Doubles: Taylor Weuve / Mimi Nguyen
#2 Singles: Alyssa Tank
The team will be participating in the conference tomorrow and Thursday.
Tuesday the LMC is limited hours 3, 6 and 7.
