Attention all Center Stage singers and combo members.
Your first payment for spring trip is due Today. Please see Mr. Flogel if you lost the form or have any issues with payment.

Attention art club:
We are meeting today in Ms. Gerondale’s room to plan our activities for the year. All are welcome.

Attention Sting Cancer:
Tonight’s meeting will feature an informative presentation on the education, emotion and opportunity that being part of the Sting Cancer Team will allow you to receive.
As part of the presentation will be a challenge from your advisors to give back to the group as much or more than you get from being a member of Sting Cancer.


Come and enjoy a great meeting and learn how you and your Sting Cancer teammates can make a difference.

Meeting is at 3:05 in LMC.

Are you interested in learning more about a career in the health field?
Bellinhealth is offering a Health Career Exploration Day on Thursday, October 30 from 8:30 am – noon. Students will have the opportunity to meet with instructors, ask questions, and tour specific areas such as maternity-birthing center, surgery, respiratory therapy, imaging services etc. Stop in the Career Center for an application. Space is limited. Sign-up is on a first come first served basis. Application due by October 17.

Do you love good books and great conversation?
Then join us during your lunch for Preble’s book club on Thursday, October 23rd. Our first selection is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. Everyone is welcome. If you’d like to borrow a copy of the book or have any questions, see Mrs. Pearson in the LMC or Mrs. Suda in room 119.

Soccer
The Boys Soccer teams play tonight at Southwest. The JV game begins at 4:30 followed by Varsity at 6:30.

Are you ready to DO SOMETHING?

Girls Volleyball
Come support the Hornet girls volleyball teams as they take on Bay Port tonight. Freshmen and JV begin at 5:30pm, with varsity at 7:00pm. SWARM shirts will be sold at the concessions stand and students can enter a drawing to win a free shirt which will be given away between games 1 & 2 of the varsity match.

Have you gotten your henna tattoo yet?
If not, be sure to check out the table set up in the commons during lunch to get a one of a kind tattoo. They are temporary, safe, and stay on your skin for 1 to 2 weeks. All students who would like to get a tattoo must have a signed permission slip. These will be available to you during lunch hours in the commons. Be sure to get yours this week!

Students!
Homecoming Dance Tickets are on sale in the Commons today and also tomorrow at the FFA cookout. All students must present an ID at the door Saturday night and only Preble students may purchase tickets at the door for $15.00. There will also be professional photo packages available at the dance by Harmann Photography, with payment due at that time.

Tomorrow is crazy Green and Gold dress up day.

The afternoon will have a shortened schedule with the pep assembly after period 8 in the main gym. The parade takes off from Edison at 3:25 and will be headed toward Preble. The Powder Puff game will follow the parade, leading up to the big game against West in Gauthier stadium. Come and join in the celebration!

Float and vehicle applications are due in the Main Office today. We still need cars and trucks for Court members!

Student Council members:
please check in with Mrs. Marshall in Room 200 today. We need help on building dance decorations all day today and tomorrow. We will decorate the Commons on Saturday from 9 until noon.

Are you interested in writing articles for the school newspaper?
Come to a meeting and learn how to write news and feature articles. On Tuesday, Sept 30, in room 132 we will have the first “Newspaper 101” get-together. All new Buzz staff members are expected to be there, along with anyone else interested in learning how to write for the newspaper.

Looking for a volunteer opportunity?
Join “Project Heats On” ---help make winter cozy for area residents. Assist with weatherizing homes for those in need. Stop in the Career Center for further details.
