Art Auction Announcement
For 1 week only, all students, faculty, and staff are invited to bid on the Art Department’s Silent Auction. Here’s how it works. Stop by the display case by the art rooms and bid in the binder in room 183. Bids start as low as only 25 cents! Items in the auction include: copper wind chimes, painted furniture, clay bowls and sculptures, etched animal prints, and recipe card-photo holders. Buy the holder and you could get Lori Barber’s award winning chili recipe or one of Jenny Keavy Olson’s famous family recipes. Stop by after school Friday, May 9th to see if you are the highest bid. The highest bid pays for the artwork on Friday and takes home a one-of-a-kind art piece!

Cheerleading Tryouts
The cheerleading team is looking for hard working, committed individuals to represent Preble during the 2008-2009 school year. If you're looking for something that will challenge you mentally and physically, with a heavy dose of school spirit, then try out for the cheer team! Cheerleaders stunt, tumble, dance and compete at local and state competitions besides cheering for Preble football and basketball games.
Practices are Monday and Tuesday, May 19 and 20 from 7:45-9:00 pm in the Wrestling Room. Tryouts are Wednesday, May 21 starting at 3:30 pm. A medical card is required to participate in practices and tryouts, so pick one up from the main office and bring it with you on May 19.

Drama
Make plans today to see the spring play, DATE WITH A VAMPIRE on Thur, Fri. or Saturday night. You’ll go batty about Count Onitt’s spooktacular castle created by the art crew. Their gargoyles will put you in a ghoulish mood for the “cloak-and-fang” shenanigans to come. The costumes and make-up will make you howl like Werewolves of London. You’ll get all wrapped up in the heart pounding… heart wrenching… heart throbbing performances of the actors and actresses. There are no major Boo Boos or grave mistakes! You will not have spent your time in vein if you attend this Fang-tastic Show.
Buy your tickets today like good little mummies and you’ll be wound up with so much fun and laughter, it’ll get you a - coffin. The show won’t put you in a bat temper. It’s guaranteed to go straight to your jocular vein!
So we invite you to enter the Resch Family Auditorium, bat your eyes, stick out your necks, and do “The Mash”. You’ll instantly become a die-hard member of the Preble Players Fang Club, and you and your friends will say, “We’re coming back ‘for seconds’, because this show is “Good to the Last Bite!”
