Track and Field
Our Green Bay Preble Men’s Track and Field Team won the inaugural FRC Conference Indoor Eastern Division Track and Field Meet outdistancing second place Green Bay East by over 100 team points.
Preble placed first in eight of the 17 events.
Double winners from Preble were:
Ben Daniels – 200 m dash, 800 m relay
Brad Parent – High Jump, Long Jump
Matt McDonald – 800 M run, 3200 m relay
Mike Rettler – 1600 m relay, 3200 m relay
James Zahn – 1660 m relay 3200 m relay


The girl’s track and field team won the first FRCC Eastern Division Indoor Track Meet held last night at our own William E. Dessart Center. The meet went down to the final event the with team winning by 2 points over Sheboygan North. First place finishers included Becca Gusmer in the mile and 2-mile, Emily Wallenfang in the low hurdles and triple jump, and Gina Gigot in the high hurdles. Congratulations team.

MAC Scholars
MAC Scholars will meet TODAY after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the back of the LMC by The Career Center

Attention All Juniors attending Prom:
If you plan on bringing a non-Preble student to Prom you need to pick up a guest form from the main office. These forms are due back in the Preble Main Office on April 10th.

Attention Softball Players:
The practice times are as follows:
Freshman: 3:25-5:00 at Preble Park
JV: 3:30-5:00 at Baird Park
Varsity: 4:30-6:00 at Baird Park

Please be 15 minutes early and ready to practice on time.

Green Bay Packers Group Award
The 20th Annual Wisconsin Public Service Volunteer Awards Breakfast, the community’s most broad-based volunteer recognition event, will take place Tuesday, April 15 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main Street. Sting Cancer has been nominated for the Green Bay Packers Group Award.
It is anticipated that more than 400 volunteers, community leaders, and others will attend this high-profile event. It should be a special day for our students to be able to get recognition for the great things they are doing.

Do not forget an important SC meeting this Thursday as we have to get set for May 13th-Livestrong-Wear Yellow Day and our April 19th Dinner Gala.


GSA
There will be a GSA officers meeting Friday morning before school in room 258 at 7:05. Please bring ideas for topics for our next meeting. If you cannot attend, please see Miss Warnke before Friday so arrangements can be made.

The next GSA meeting will be next week Wednesday the 9th. We will meet in room 258 and the meeting will last until 4:00. The Day of Silence participation forms will be handed out at this time so please make arrangements to attend.

Junior Prom
Congratulations to the following Juniors who have been nominated to run for the 2008 Prom Court. Any of these Juniors who wish to run for the Prom Court must pick up an INTENT –TO – RUN form from the MAIN OFFICE and return it by the end of the day THIS FRIDAY.

SMART Discussion Group
The SMART discussion group will be meeting after school today to discuss new activities and projects. Everyone is welcome. Share ideas that resonate and join the Science, Math And Rational Thinking group today at 3:10 in Mr. Sindberg’s room, Rm. 229.

A reminder that the Student Council will meet today in room 200 during period 8.

Tress for Tomorrow
Attention all students interested in the great outdoors. Once again we have an outstanding opportunity for students who may want to learn more about environmental issues.

Procter and Gamble is sponsoring 10 young women and 10 young men to attend the Trees For Tomorrow Camp for 4 days in Eagle River, WI.. The boys will attend from April 23rd to April 26th, the girls from April 30th to May 3rd.

This is a great opportunity for you to participate in hands-on activities in a very unique outdoor environment. You will also be exposed to a large number of career opportunities in the environmental sciences.

If you are interested in applying, pick up an application from Mrs. Bornowski in room 217 or Mr. Grunwaldt in room 230.


Applications are due by Friday, April 11th.

Unity Expo
Attention students and staff! The annual Unity Expo is only 9 days away. All student coordinators must turn planning sheets into Mrs. Marshall in Room 200. Lists will be finalized today and no names will be added after today. Staff members who are serving as sponsors should check in with their student coordinators for progress on exhibits.
