Sting Cancer:
We would like everyone to know how much there support for SC has meant to our group this year. We would like to personally extend an invitation to everyone in this building for our April 19th dinner gala. While an email and an announcement may seem a bit informal, we realize this is the best way to get out pertinent info to as many people as we can.
The dinner gala is Saturday, April 19th here at Preble High School. It is a combination of Sting Cancer students celebrating their achievements and Preble Culinary Arts showing off what they do best. The Culinary Arts group makes this an event one that cannot be missed. Last year a hotel-restaurant management graduate from UW-Stout remarked that in her years at Stout as an undergraduate, they had never achieved anything that matched the magnitude of how civilized, classy and simply unbelievable the Sting Cancer dinner was. She said that our Culinary Arts team was doing things beyond what most colleges do.
So if you have a chance to come on Saturday, April 19th and see Culinary Arts and Sting Cancer celebrate their accomplishments. The 3-course dinner will be highlighted by two very special cancer survivors Jerry Parins, Senior Security Advisor of the Green Bay Packers, and Preble’s very own special math teacher, Deanna Sundstrom.
The dinner will also include a small silent auction and a great chance to celebrate a very special night. Dinner costs $20 per plate, but please let Mr. Nez know if there are people who would like to go, but may not be able to handle the $20 cost of the dinner. Sting Cancer does have the opportunity to sponsor a limited amount of dinners.
Students and faculty, if you would like to reserve your spots for this great event, please contact Nick Nesvacil or Deanna Sundstrom as soon as possible
