NWTCis offering College Preview Night this Thursday, April 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. for students and parents. This free event is an opportunity for students to visit classrooms, labs, and shops. You will also meet instructors and have the chance to experience hands-on demos. Information regarding admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and support services will be made available. Further information available in the Career Center.

Pi Sigma Sigma Practice
All Pi Sigma Sigma students that are attending the ceremony Tuesday April 8th AND have not been to a previous ceremony need to come to a short practice in the auditorium 2nd hour, Tuesday, April 8. Students should first report to their 2nd hour classes to check in and then report to the auditorium with a writing utensil. If you plan on attending the ceremony but cannot make the practice, please see another Pi Sigma Sigma member or Mrs. Every, regarding procedures.

Cabaret Night 2008
Don’t forget to get your tickets to Cabaret Night 2008. Shows are Friday and Saturday night at 7:30. There is an option on Saturday night to also have dinner prepared by our Culinary Arts class with additional performances during the dinner. Tickets are on sale before and after school all this week. Cost is $7 for show only and $30 for dinner and show on Saturday. Part of the proceeds from the dinner show will go to a local charity. Any questions please see Mr. Flogel.

Once again we have an outstanding opportunity for students who may want to learn more about environmental issues.
Procter and Gamble is sponsoring 10 young women and 10 young men to attend the Trees For Tomorrow Camp for 4 days in Eagle River, WI.. The boys will attend from April 23rd to April 26th, the girls from April 30th to May 3rd.
This is a great opportunity for you to participate in hands-on activities in a very unique outdoor environment. You will also be exposed to a large number of career opportunities in the environmental sciences.
If you are interested in applying, pick up an application from Mrs. Bornowski in room 217 or Mr. Grunwaldt in room 230.
Applications are due by Friday, April 11th.

Jeremy Lee Hughes Scholarship
Applications for the Jeremy Lee Hughes Scholarship are now available in the Career Center. This scholarship is for seniors who plan on attending a one or two year technical college in an engineering, industrial, or technology degree program. Programs of study could include auto body, auto mechanic, diesel technician, construction, millwork, civil engineering, electronics, and a variety of other technical college programs. There will be two $750 to $1000 scholarships that will be given only to Preble seniors. Applicants are required to have taken a technology education class while at Preble to qualify for this scholarship. The application deadline is April 23rd.

There will be a Junior Prom Committee meeting after school today in room 200.

Our men’s freshman / sophomore track and field team placed second in the 30 team Oshkosh Titan Indoor track and field invitational last night. There were many outstanding performances from our promising young athletes. Complete results will be posted down by the locker room area.
Today, Preble will host the FRC Conference Coed Indoor East Division Track and Field Meet. Field events begin at 4:00 PM with running events beginning at 4:30 PM.
