The Buzz
There will be a full staff meeting for the Buzz on Monday April 21 in room 132 immediately after school. We will be planning for the final issue of the Buzz. Everyone who wants to contribute articles should be there. We will also be discussing Senior Survey and the new format this year. Thank you.
Forensics
Congratulations to the 28 students who went to Madison on Friday to compete in the State Forensics Festival.
We had 21 entries in the competition, and received 4 Gold, 11 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals.
Receiving Gold were:
Alyssa Strebel and Shaina Beckers in Play Acting, Christine Jossart, Kim Hyden, Kris Lopez and Andrea Vertz in Group Interp, Kati Long in Prose and Holly Baierl in Farrago

VARSTIY GOLFERS TAKE FIRST!
Tyler Wadzinski shot a 2 over par to lead the Hornets to an opening season victory over Manitowoc, DePere and Green Bay East. Tom Boockmeier followed with a 40, while Brandon Chaloupka's 41 and Kyle Hafeman's 42 completed the scoring for the Hornets.
The varsity & jv's will be at home tonight against Bay Port and Green Bay Southwest.
All those golfers not participating in the meet today are to be at practice today at Royal Scot.
GSA
Attention all students who plan to participate in the Day of Silence on Friday, if you want to participate you need to have your teachers sign your participation form and turn it in when you pick up your t-shirt. If you don't turn in the participation form, you may still wear a shirt, but you will be expected to participate in each class. If you have any questions, stop in room 258 and see Miss Warnke.

Travel to Jordan
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announces an exciting opportunity for high school students to travel to Jordan to learn the Arabic Language and their Culture this summer from June 15 - August 12. Students will spend several days in Washington D.C. and seven weeks at the Arabic language institute in Amman, Jordan. Students from across the U.S. will be selected to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Applicants must be 15-18 of age with a GPA of 3.0/better. No previous Arabic experience required. Application deadline is May 8. Stop in the Career Center for further information.
Harmony Café
Harmony Café a program of Goodwill plans to open in Green Bay June 19. Most of the programming is volunteer-led. They are looking to develop volunteer leadership to help coordinate and lead the program. The programs offered will be whatever the people of the Green Bay community want to see offered. For example, they may focus on live music, open mic, issue discussions, poetry and things like that. They are forming a Program Coordination Team to help oversee and lead the programs. A meeting is set for Monday, April 28th from 6-8pm at Southwest High School for those interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity.

Track and Field
Our Preble men's track and field team won 8 out of 16 events to win the Preble Relays for the 24th time since 1978. It is also the 13th consecutive Preble victory for this meet.
The high jump relay of Brad Parent, Greg Parent, Lucas Bartlett, and Brandon Morgan broke the Record in this event that was last broke back in 2001. Grag Parent was also a 3 event winner in this meet. There were numerous other double event winners. Results can be viewed down by the locker room.
Our men's track and field team dominated the 7 team field on Saturday as well at the Sheboygan North Invitational.
Today, Preble is fortunate to host the Green Bay Coed Track and Field Meet. Field events and trials begin at 4:00, with finals in all running events beginning at 4:45. Come and support your men's and women's track and field team.
REMINDER TO STUDENTS FROM STUDENT SERVICES DEPT:
The last ACT test for the school year will be June 14th. The registration deadline is May 9th. Late Fee Required from May 10-23rd.
If you are interested in taking the test for the first time or want to retake the test, registration information can be found in Student Services; otherwise, go to www.act.org to register on-line.

Show Choir Announcement
Congratulations to both Center Stage and Rendezvous Show Choirs for receiving first place in their divisions at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival this past weekend in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Both choirs were also given the Superior Musicianship awards in their categories. Outstanding performer awards were also given to Michael Brand, Kat Kuehl, Eva Campbell, Kimy Rhyme, Stephanie Bialcik, and Sara Yang.
MS Walk
Thanks to all spec ed staff who were able to participate in the MS Walk on Sunday! Weather was perfect and the camaraderie was as well.
Due to your generosity, we were able to contribute $205 to the cause from the proceeds of our T-shirt.
Also thank you to the culinary arts for an absolutely fantastic dinner gala on Saturday night. While the Sting Cancer advisors and students worked very hard on this event, it is truly the courtesy, work ethic and professionalism that Mrs. Spence and the awesome culinary arts students display that made the night so special. Also, thank you to Mr. C and the agriscience group for donating the beautiful flower centerpieces. Seeing so many students from diffent groups add the dinner to make it special was really something to see. It once again proved to all involved that Preble is a special place with very special people.
Walking Club
It is a beautiful day for a walk. Come join the Walking Club after school today. We will meet by the LMC at 3:10 and walk outside until 3:45.
