Attention Art Club
The official members of Art Club list is posted outside of the art room’s door for the yearbook photo on Monday. Please check your name for the correct spelling. If your name is missing from the list, see Ms. Nooyen or Ms. Gerondale.

Attention boy’s interested in playing volleyball:
There will be an open gym on Monday April 7th from 6-8 pm. If you like playing volleyball or are thinking about coming out for volleyball next season you should attend this open gym.

Additional scholarship available in the Career Center is:
-KWIK Trip Scholarship- One $500 scholarship available. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0/better and be enrolled in a college taking a minimum of six credit hours. Based on service to others through school and extracurricular activities.

Athletic Training Visit Day
UW-Oshkosh will host an Athletic Training Visit day on Tuesday, April 22. Students interested in Athletic Training or related fields will be able to learn more about the program, experience hands-on skills sessions, tour the campus and hear from Dr. Patrick McKenzie, team physician and medical director for the Green Bay Packers. Space is limited reservations taken on first come, first served basis. Forms available in the Career Center.

Friday the LMC is limited hours 3, 4 and 7 and closed Hour 8.

The Link Crew group photo will be taken during 4th hour at 10:40 in the auditorium. You must wear your Link Crew T-shirt to be in the photo

Attention Math Team Students
Our last Math Meet is Monday, Apr. 14 at Ashwaubenon High School.

All gray confirmation slips are due today, Friday, Apr. 4th. Please give them to your math teacher or drop them off in room 237

National Honor Society
Congratulations to all of the students that received an invite to be part of the Preble Chapter of National Honor Society. All new inductees are to meet in the auditorium Tuesday Morning, April 8th at 7am. You can turn in your sheets at that time. See Mr. Valley if you have any question.

Reminder to Walking Club members:

There will be no walking club on Monday due to the faculty meeting after school. Monday, April 7 is photo day for the yearbook. We will have our picture taken at 9:55 am in the auditorium.

Precollege Programs
There are many opportunities available during the summer months at campuses throughout the state for students to attend Precollege programs. This is an opportunity for students to improve their academic skills and learn about college. The Department of Instruction is offering scholarships for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Stop in the Career Center for further information.


Summer School 2008

Registration forms and description booklets are available in the Students Services Dept. for students to pick-up before and after school, between passing periods and during your lunch hours through May 9th.

Registration begins MONDAY April 7th at 7:15 am and ends May 9th at 3:15 p.m. The first day to drop off your registration form is Monday April 7th at 7:15 am. Each form will be checked and if completed accurately, the date and time will be written on the form. Summer school classes fill up across the district on a first come first serve basis.

Your form must be complete to be accepted by a student services personnel. You must have a check for $13.00 for each class or fee waived, those on free and reduced lunch. Cash will not be accepted. Parent’s signature is required. Teacher’s signature is required for certain classes. Read the form thoroughly and complete the form accurately to ensure getting the class you want.

Trees for Tomorrow
Attention all students interested in the great outdoors. Once again we have an outstanding opportunity for students who may want to learn more about environmental issues.

Procter and Gamble is sponsoring 10 young women and 10 young men to attend the Trees For Tomorrow Camp for 4 days in Eagle River, WI.. The boys will attend from April 23rd to April 26th, the girls from April 30th to May 3rd.

This is a great opportunity for you to participate in hands-on activities in a very unique outdoor environment. You will also be exposed to a large number of career opportunities in the environmental sciences.

If you are interested in applying, pick up an application from Mrs. Bornowski in room 217 or Mr. Grunwaldt in room 230. Applications are due by Friday, April 11th.

UW-Milwaukee Trip
Students who plan to participate in the UW-Milwaukee with Mr. Vaughn Vang on April 18 are reminded to turn in permission slips to Mrs. Bossell in the Career Center by Tuesday, April 15th.


Yearbook
Monday is yearbook activity photo day. Schedules have been e-mailed to all teachers and should be posted in classrooms for students to consult. Students should report to the auditorium a few minutes before their group’s scheduled time. We will begin promptly at 7:30 and stick closely to the schedule throughout the day. Whenever possible, faculty advisers should also report to verify the participants in the photo. Students must return immediately and quietly to their scheduled classes.

Also, this is a reminder that all yearbook payments MUST be RECEIVED by the company by April 24. No payments will be accepted by the company after this date. The price will increase from $45 to $60 after the 24th and we cannot guarantee a yearbook after this date because we must turn in our final numbers the next week. If you cannot afford a yearbook, please see Mrs. Sutton in Room 205 to discuss the possibility of working off the cost. Your help is needed in order to get the yearbook delivered on time next fall.
