Additional Scholarships in Career Center are:
-OMNOVA Solutions Inc. Scholarship – Applicant must major in a science related field such as chemistry, chemical engineering, or environmental science.
-Patrick Wood Scholarship – Applicant may attend either a four-year or technical college. Based on need, community/school activities, academic achievement and leadership.
-Rice Engineering Scholarship- Applicant must plan to enroll in an engineering program. Based on academic achievement, community/school activities, financial need.
-Tom Finlan Memorial Scholarship – Applicant must be a member of the Preble Cross Country Team or a distance runner on the Preble Track Team – male or female
-Resch Scholarship – Applicant must plan to pursue college studies in math, science or engineering. Applicant must also have led a smoke and drug-free lifestyle.
Attention all STATE DECA competitors
We will have a meeting after school on Tuesday Feb. 5th. This meeting will be in room 136.
It is important that all STATE DECA competitors are at this meeting.
Also: All State DECA competitors should see Mr. Bonetti sometime during the day.

Do you want to learn more about black history? Well now is your chance. February is black history month and on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 pm., Professor Eric Arnesen, a leading scholar of the African-American experience from the University of Illinois at Chicago, will present Black Railroaders and the Making of a Civil Rights Movement at the National Railroad Museum. If you are interested come to the National Railroad Museum on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 pm to learn more about black history.
The Buzz
There is a Buzz meeting after school today in room 132 for all writers to work on their articles.

Is the new YMCA too busy? Are you tired of battling people for running space to stay in shape over the winter months? If so, then join the 2008 Preble Running Club! The Running Club participants share common goals such as getting in shape for a spring sport or raising their overall fitness level. The Preble Running Club is always open to new members and meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday immediately after school around the locker room area. Hope to see you there!
Center Stage
Congratulations to our Center Stage Show Choir for capturing the Spirit Award at the New London Competition on Saturday. Michael Brand also placed second in the solo competition. Thanks for representing Preble so well!
FBLA
The Preble High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), competed at the Regional Leadership Conference at Appleton Xavier High School on Saturday. Congratulations to the following students qualified for the State Leadership Conference that will be held on April 3-4 in La Crosse:

There will be a GSA officers meeting tomorrow morning before school at 7:10 in room 258. Please make arrangements to attend.
There will be a GSA meeting Wednesday after school in room 258. The meeting will run from 3:10-4:00. Our topic will be tolerance and judgements. Everyone is welcome as we are always looking for new members. You can also order your Day of Silence T-shirt for a cost of $4 which you can pay at that time.
